Suwuk Chung started his career as a jazz and contemporary guitarist in Seoul, Korea, after attending both Berklee and the New England Conservatory. Whilst working as session guitarist and producer for many of Korea’s top jazz and pop bands, he was introduced to Ableton Live, back in 2004. Since then, he has played, recorded guitars and produced music with Ableton Live, both in studios and in live venues, including international festivals and clubs in Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China, France, Canada and Australia.

Ableton Live has become one of Suwuk Chung’s primary music production and recording tools. Using Live’s unique features, he has helped many musicians create sets for studio and live use, including soundscapes and intricate Effect Racks.

Multiple albums that Suwuk Chung produced or played on, as well as his band “Near East Quartet”, have won awards at the Korean Music Awards. He has taught music since 1998 and is currently an associate professor at Howon University in South Korea, where he teaches music production.

버클리음대와 뉴잉글랜드 음악대학원을 졸업한 그는 재즈와 팝 세션 기타리스트, 프로듀서로 활동하기 시작했고 이 후, 수 많은 아티스트들과 작업하던 중, 2004년 에이블튼 라이브(버젼4)을 소개받고 이 소프트웨어의 가능성에 매료되어 입문하게 되었습니다. 이 후, 지금 까지 에이블튼 라이브를 공연과 녹음 작업, 그리고 국내외 다양한 음 악 프로젝트들과 해외 클럽, 페스트발 연주등에 사용해 오고 있으며, 많은 뮤지션들과 작업하며 에이블튼 라이브 를 사용하고 세팅하는대 참여하고 있습니다. 그가 참여한 프로듀싱한 여러 아티스트들의 앨범들과 “니어 이스트 쿼텟”의 앨범은 ‘대한민국 대중음악상”들을 수상하기도 했습니다.

그리고, 1998년부터 기타, 음악, 프로덕션 강의들을 시작했고, 현재는 호원대학교 실용음악과 전임교수로 기타 전공 수업들과 음악제작에 관한 수업들을 강의하고 있습니다.
