At the beginning of November we welcomed 400 guests to Berlin to exchange ideas, techniques, and inspirations around what it means to be a music-maker today – and we’d now like to say thank you to all attendees and participants for making the first Loop summit a truly special event.

The discussions, presentations and workshops that took place over the weekend were both inspiring and educational, and we’ll be posting much of what we saw, heard and learned in the coming months. In the meantime, we’d like to share some choice images and insights from three days of Loop.

"Success points to the past. That's why failures are great. They point to the future." – Robert Henke

"One of the great unblockings is collaboration. And listening, listening, listening to other music and people." – Matthew Herbert

“A craftsman doesn’t blame his tools – professional results come from the right mindset.” – Young Guru

The Playground area at Loop

“If we listened literally to user feedback, we would all end up with the same products.” – Carla Scaletti

“You have a band within you: the 7am/11am/3am you. It's interesting to access those people and their ideas." – patten

"Restrictions are fun and doing something you don't normally do is really cool too." – Money Mark

Impressions from Loop workshops

"Performing live is finding people's comfort zones to take them somewhere else." – DJ/Rupture

"As a musician you have to honor your audience." – Kiran Gandhi

"The laptop is the most intimate instrument." – Holly Herndon

Thoughts and messages from Loop attendees

We’re looking forward to sharing videos, features and more from Loop in the coming months.
